Setting a workout schedule is something that many people strive to achieve. However, there are many different factors associated with developing the best workout schedule to fit your individual needs and goals. One person’s workout plan might not necessarily be the best plan for someone else. Keep in mind that a workout schedule should be tailored to one’s fitness goals, age, biology, diet and free time. Only YOU know what is best for you. With that being said, here are some suggestions to creating and implementing an exercise routine that will help achieve your fitness goals:
At-home workouts are becoming increasingly more popular due to people’s busy schedules, taking care of children, work and other priorities. In addition, some people just do not like going to the gym. At-home workouts are convenient, easy and fairly inexpensive. The cost of a gym membership is much higher than if one was to invest in a home gym. All that is needed are a set of dumbbells, resistance bands, a medicine ball and ideally, one cardio machine. This can be a simple treadmill to do HIIT cardio, which will increase cardiovascular endurance. Treadmill workouts are extremely effective and necessary to incorporate into your exercise routine.
In addition, there are also programs like P90x, Insanity and Beach Body where the trainer is right in your living room. Many of these fitness programs also offer nutritional and diet guidance. If at-home workouts are not possible, try to develop an exercise routine where you go to the gym in the morning before work to start your day on a high note or in the evening to release stress from a workday. Just exercise whenever there is extra time available in your schedule, even if you are tired. You will feel much better after. As the saying goes, “The only workout you regret is the one you didn’t do.”
